FormWise and Triangle Digital Partner to Build Carbon Retirement Directly Into AI Agents

NEW YORK, SEPT 23, 2026 – FormWise.ai, the AI agent platform for turning expertise into proprietary AI assets, and Triangle Digital, the financial infrastructure for the carbon economy, today announced an integration that will allow FormWise customers to build carbon retirement directly into the AI agents, apps and experiences they deploy.

Generative AI creates a new sustainability challenge because every interaction requires data-center computation and electricity, while the resulting emissions are typically separated from the customer and transaction that created the demand.

FormWise already has the meter needed to connect them: the token.

The FormWise platform measures input and output token consumption by model and user. Through the Triangle integration, that activity can be used to calculate an estimated CO₂e footprint and determine the corresponding quantity of verified carbon credits required for retirement. Triangle then sources the credits through its Carbon Pool, executes retirement for the appropriate beneficiary and returns the associated emissions statement, retirement record and certificate.

The key difference is just-in-time access.

FormWise customers do not need to forecast their future carbon requirements or pre-purchase and warehouse blocks of carbon credits. Triangle's Carbon Pool provides access to credits as actual AI consumption creates demand, allowing the required quantity to be purchased and retired as usage is settled.

FormWise customers can also incorporate the carbon cost into their own AI products. Agencies, companies and creators can pass the retirement cost through with the AI transaction rather than absorbing it centrally, aligning the cost more closely with the party consuming the AI service. The integration architecture is designed to carry the cost, retirement certificate and associated claim through to the designated beneficiary.

AI is consumed. Tokens are measured. Carbon is calculated. Credits are acquired just in time and retired. The cost and proof follow the transaction.

For FormWise customers, the capability fits directly into the platform's broader model of metering and controlling AI assets. Every AI call is already authenticated, metered and costed. Carbon becomes another measurable component of that transaction rather than a separate sustainability process.

The integration does not claim that carbon retirement eliminates the electricity consumed by AI or reduces the underlying reported emissions inventory. Estimated AI emissions and carbon retirement remain separately recorded, providing a traceable connection between the consumption event and the verified credits retired against it.
