A lease pins you to a specific version, the way software teams pin a dependency. The twist: a leased Knowledgebase is living content: as the creator's knowledge grows, yours does too, without a rebuild.
A purchase is a fork: a snapshot of the component at the moment you bought it, added to your own library. Nothing the creator does afterward (new versions, new prices, even leaving the platform) touches what you own.
Creators release versions deliberately: no silent edits to something your agents depend on. You stay pinned until you choose to move, an update that changes the price waits for your consent, and your agents keep running on the version you trusted the whole time.
An open version ships source-included. Lease it and read exactly how it works; buy it and the copy is yours permanently: modify it, fork it, build it into anything you ship, with no strings on what you make. The one right a buyer never gets is resale: your listing stays yours.
A private version is licensed for use, and only by lease. It works inside a lessee's agents (answering, scoring, guiding) but the contents are sealed on every read. No copies, no forks, no way inside, nothing to relist: when the lease ends, so does the license.
Nothing acquired from the Marketplace can ever be relisted, leased or bought, open or private. Listing requires authorship, and provenance is checked on every release. What you made stays yours to sell; what you acquired stays yours to use.
